What is SAM?
The Scientific Staff Association at the Department of Materials (SAM)
of ETH Zurich represents the interests of the scientific staff including doctoral students, post-docs, and senior scientists of the department and was founded on the motivation to bring the department of materials closer together, scientifically and socially.
What do we do?
Materials Colloquium
The Materials Colloquium is a monthly series of expert-led talks held at the HCI, focusing on cutting-edge topics in materials science. Each session consists of two independent 20-minute presentations, offering insights into the latest innovations and challenges in the field.
SAM Social Events
SAM (Student Association of Materials) organizes a variety of social events aimed at fostering community and networking among doctoral students and postdocs in the Materials Department at ETH Zurich.
