First Joint SAM - Materials Alumni Event:
Tour of the Underground of ETH Hönggerberg and Feuerzangenbowle
Dear colleague,
Together with Materials Alumni, the association representing the alumni of D-MATL, we get to experience the underground tunnels that connect the different buildings on campus. If we have enough time we will also visit the heating plant that generates the warm water and heating for the whole ETH Hönggerberg campus.
After the tour (~50 min) we will gather for some Feuerzangenbowle (mulled wine with a rum-soaked sugarloaf lit above it – you will love it ;-) ) and have the chance to mingle with Materials Alumni and current PhDs, PostDocs and Senior scientists of D-MATL.Note: The tour will be in German and is unfortunately due to the nature of the tour not barrier-free.The guided tour is limited to 25 participants. Please register by writing an email toweydelin@ethz.ch. The participation is free of charge. It will be on a first-come-first served basis.
